For these clients I provide a wide range of career services which include: assistance with initial career choice, career development, transition to alternative careers, occupational assessments, and vocational reports. I have assisted thousands of clients choose their initial tertiary study and /or jobs, make career transitions, develop their careers, be supported through redundancies and work through some difficult work situations. |
Prior to this I was a consultant and Director of Career Dynamic from 1996-2006 after extensive experience in recruiting, training and career guidance developed through consulting and management roles in the Recruitment Industry.
Working in the Human Resources Division of Opal Consulting Group I specialized in Outplacement and Career Transition and prior to this I trained recruitment consultants to become professional top performers.
Previous to this as Branch Manager of Opal Consulting Group I managed a team of twelve consultants and was responsible for budgets, forecasting, expenses and professional development.
My initial role in Human Resources was as a recruitment consultant at several companies where I advised and worked along side Senior Managers, in a diverse number of company sectors ranging from corporates to manufacturing, to assist them with staff selection, placement and development.
My background also includes online lecturing in Career Theory to distance students at the Auckland University of Technology reinforcing my career theory knowledge and practice in careers. Currently I am a member of The Career Development Practitioners Association of New Zealand and attend regular updates in my field.
My initial work experience included teaching of intermediate aged children throughout New Zealand and one year specialist training in Educational Psychology.
